The Chainsmokers AMA Voting

We have powered a lot of "Get out the Vote" campaigns for our clients and partners, and as more and more award shows continue to involve by including an online fan voting component, our campaigns have become more effect by automatically tapping into the Twitter API to automate some of the end-user voting.  This is a perfect example of that approach.  The Chainsmokers were nominated for over 3 different categories in the 2016 American Music Awards.  Client Columbia Records asked us to develop a voting application that would automatically send out votes (via Twitter) daily for the duration of the voting periods by incentivizing fans to unlock up to 50 exclusive photos from the duo.

Connecting on Twitter
Users were required to connect on Twitter in order to participate in the activation. This enabled the application to automatically vote on their behalf once the clicked any of the vote buttons.

Daily Voting and Content Unlocking
Fans were encouraged to automatically vote for the duo (by simply clicking a button) for each of the award categories they were nominated for. Each vote unlocked a new photo (up to a maximum of 50).

Exclusive Content Reveal

Once fans voted for the duo, exclusive photos will be unlocked within the application.

Mobile Support

Here is what the campaign looks like on a mobile device. As is the case with all of our projects, mobile support is coming more important than desktop support as more and more users are accessing our activations on their mobile devices.
