This is probably one of the smartest and unique uses of our Spotify application platform! The strategy is a good one: how do I move a large base of SoundCloud fans who like music downloads over to become Spotify followers? The answer: bait them with a FREE download when they connect on Spotify! That was the idea behind this campaign from Warner Music. Rather than give away the #OrangeSeason for "free" (limited value to the music label), or ask for emails (a majority of emails collect this way are fake), the better solution is to have fans connect via Spotify where you:

• Collect their actual email address
• Have them automatically follow the artist
• Have them add one or more songs to their library
• Have them follow the artist's playlist
