Corey Smith is going on tour on the West Coast, so it makes perfect sense to promote typical sales using an cost-effective "share and enter to win" (Tweematic-based) campaign to create awareness and drive ticket sales.

The Tweematic-based sweepstakes is one of our first and most popular offerings. The idea is simple, fans are required to share a message (and/or a photo) on social media, in order to enter into a sweepstakes! Unlike the less effective "Share AFTER you enter" approach - which is a bit counter-intuitive (because by sharing you are effectively reducing your changes of winning), the "Share BEFORE you enter" approach has 100% follow-through rate and in many cases you can STILL ask people to share AGAIN after they enter (as is the case with this campaign).  Better still give users an incentive (an "Extra Entry") and you'll see sharing-rates rise!

Never forgot what the goal of the exercise is - selling. That's why we have tracking links for users to buy tickets.

More Data Collection
In additional to the share, we also collected user data such as email address, birthdays, zipcodes and opt-ins!  Success here is based on what we call an "incremental investment mode".  The idea is to collect items of values from your users ONE STEP at a time. This is what creates the incremental investment. First you ask them to share. Done! Then you ask them for the email address and birthday. Since they have already made an "investment" in the form of sharing, they are more likely to continue making investments (sharing their email and DOB with you), rather than abandon the entry process and loose their investment.
