Application Spotlight: Dan + Shay Spotify Sweeps

We design, develop and deploy more custom Spotify applications than other company.  As of March 2016, Spotify had 30 million paying subscribers worldwide, up from 20 million paying subscribers in June 2015.  Also, the music streaming platform officially reported 100 million active users worldwide, up from 75 million reported MAU in June of the previous year.  With this type of growth and market domination, it is no surprise that Spotify applications are one of our most popular offerings to music labels and artists.

This sweepstakes application for client Warner Nashville is designed to promote Dan + Shay's Ultimate Love Song Playlist Spotify playlist by requiring users to share the list as part of their entry into the sweepstakes.  This is a particularly smart strategy by our client because intrinsically Spotify is a "stream" not a "sharing" platform (yet).  Also the ability to have users automatically follow the band (and playlist) on Spotify essentially leverages the viral sharing capabilities of Twitter and Facebook to take advantage of the revenue-generating potential of Spotify.
