Because we work with the largest music artists in the industry, many of our campaigns require a scalable and secure backend. While all of our solutions are designed to scale with the needs of our clients, we have special application support for high bandwidth, high availability campaigns. Our backend servers for these applications are designed to deal with large amounts of fan traffic or huge numbers of uploads (photos, user generated content, etc) or downloads (such as exclusive music content).
Traffic: Janoskians
Many of our campaigns involve handling a large number of pages views and vistor traffic over a short period of time. Here is a Twitter-based heatmap campaign for the Janoskians. The campaign trended twice gobally on Twitter. In little over a week, the campaign reached almost 1 million page views and 600,000 visits.
Traffic: Disney
This is a campaign we launched for Disney that demonstrates our ability to handle huge amounts of traffic in a short period of time. As this voting campaign reached critical mass, the application handled almost 900,000 visits in a 24 hour period.
Page Views: 25 Days of Duck Dynasty
Many of our campaigns focus on repeat visits by fans. The 25 Days of Duck Dynasty Facebook campaign allowed fans to unlock content daily over a 25 day period and amassed close to 1 million page views.
Downloads: Mac Miller
We recently ran music download campaign for Mac Miller. Fans were able to download a 100mb mix tape - the result over 8 Terabtyes of data transferred over a month's period.
Traffic Cost: Mac Miller
Mac Miller's campaign was unique because of the large file size (100MB) and the need to deliver the file securely using edge caching for maximum performance and scalability. The bandwidth cost alone for this type of campaign (8 Terabtyes in the first month) can easily totaly in the thousands using Amazon's S3 and CloudFront, but it ensures almost 100% reliability.
