We have deployed numerous successful album premiere widgets for labels like Sony Music Nashville (See Pistol Annies Annie Up, Miranda Lambert Four the Record, Pistol Annies Hell on Heals, and Kellie Picker).
The Kellie Pickler widget, however, used exclusive video tracks (rather an audio tracks) and a mobile-friendly sweepstakes engine to drive traffic from 5 large partner sites (See below) and create momentum around the launch of her new album: 100 PROOF. The widget forced user to watch an exclusive new video from her album in order to unlock a QR-code. Calling the QR-code (or clicking on it) allowed them to unlock and collect a badge. After they collected all 5 badges, they were able to enter a sweepstakes to win one of 5 autographed guitars.
The widget featured a custom Vimeo player (that forced users to watch the entire video), as well as a dynamically generated QR-code and obviously links to buy the album on iTunes.
