More Great Christmas Project Ideas..

Here are some great holiday season promotional ideas -  most of them are promotions or campaigns we have done, but some are just great ideas we have seen (and we'd love to do for you), and definitely share any good ideas you may already have!

1. Create an Exclusive Content Microsite
Fans love exclusive content and giveaways. That's why this year the team at Warner Music Nashville decided to built the "25 Days of BS" microsite for country music artist Blake Shelton (of Voice fame). Find out more here...

2. Do a "12-Days" or "25-Days" Sweepstakes or Giveaway
Last year we did a rather creative "Tweet the Halls - 12 Days of Christmas" Tweematic sweepstakes for client LiveNation. The idea is simple: Fans visit the site daily to enter to win daily - a new prize was unlocked each day. Content, message shared and prizes change each day for 12 days. Simple and sweet. Keep to 12 days to cut down on the cost of those prizes.

3. Create Interactive Christmas Content
This T.J.Maxx promotion is simple.  Users enter any address, and via Google Street View receive a live action carol sung at an image of their front door complete with snow, twinkly lights and even a reindeer! Great way to promote an artist Christmas album...send him to a fan's house! Check it out here...

4. Give Users a Simple Shopping Guide (and More)
Not super high on the creativity list, but sometimes the boss just wants "some sort of Christmas promo" and this one definitely is more about the bottom line than snow flakes and mirrors (that's why we like it). Remind fans to buy your artist ware this Christmas and even bait them by offering free downloads

This promo we did for Curb Records last year I love! It allows fans to stream a Christmas EP from the label itself (Ka Ching), need I say digital only release (Ching Ching), and download up to 5 songs. Promoted on the Facebook pages of radio stations (what a great idea) as well the label's own Facebook page, our (Christmas) hats go off to the brilliant minds at Curb who thought of this one!

This free download and shopping guide from Verve records is another good examples! I love the For Him and For Her section and other intuitive categories that makes fans KNOW you are thinking about them! If you have no better ideas this Christmas, the least you can do is something like this. Kudos, Verve!

5. Allow Fans to Create Fun Christmas Cards
We have the world's best Facebook photo booth application! Why not put it to good use this holiday season and allow fans to create cool Christmas cards they can share with friends on Facebook or Twitter (for that matter).  The photo booth slices and dices, Christmas card generation is least it can do. Its create for both the simple and complex.  Upload and publish or drag and drop graphic elements.
