Map This, Map That

We have built dozens of mapping applications over the years. They range from more basic search-driven maps for clients such as the Red Cross and Nature Conservancy that help customers find chapter locations off or on-line, to mapping visualizations, event and tour maps, to more social media driven experiences that involve mashups with Instagram and Twitter. Here are examples of some of the mapping application we have built in the past.

Red Cross: Chapter Locator
This Facebook application allows users to find Red Cross chapter offline as well as their Facebook and Twitter pages online.

Nature Conservancy: Google Chapter Map
This is a similar version of the Red Cross chapter map. This version used Google as the backend engine (we usually use our own custom mapping backend) to reduce overall cost and maintenance. The specific mapping has become very popular with non-profit organizations and we have deployed versions of the application for non-profits like Surfrider foundation and the American Heart Assocation.

Kirk Franklin: Fearless Fall Tour Interactive Map & Gallery
This Facebook application engaged Kirk Franklin fans and allowed them to share photos from his concerns through this application. The app also allowed fans to see tour dates and purchase tickets.  This builds on touring and applications we have built on Facebook for EMI CMG artists like Matthew West and TobyMac.

Cher Lloyd: Dynamic Map
We recently deployed an successful scavanger hunt application on Facebook for Sony Epic artist Cherl Loyd as part of her American Wants Cher Back campaign. We used a custom map control to visualize fan engagement in 15 different cities Cher would be visiting.  This unique mapping visualization gave fans a sense of the level of activity in each city and also provided more information about each venue (status, dates, i.e.)

TobyMac: City on Our Knees Widget
This interactive widget encouraged fans to "Be Counted" as part of TobyMac's "City on our Knees" tour. This is another example of mapping visualization. The idea was that fans could "light up" a grid map - at the same time the application was collecting opt-in information about fans.

Lionel Richie: From Tuskegee to Nashville (Double) Sweepstakes
This application featured two sweepstakes (weekly and one to win a grand prize) and an interactive maps that featured the birthplaces of Lionel's co-stars on his new album. The concept and experience came from UMG Nashville. Fans could interact with the map weekly to unlock different cities. Each city could be unlocked by answer a set of trivia questions. Fans could also preview videos or songs associated with each city.  Once fans unclocked all 13 cities, they were eligible to enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win the grand prize.
