Bookmarking Platform

The Metablocks Bookmarking platform is designed to help labels and other business better organize and share important information and web-based resources.  The platform allows users to create as many bookmarking projects as necessary. Each project is represented by a page. A page can contain any number of folders, which in turn contain bookmarks.  Folders can be shared between pages and users have the ability to change the order, visibility and privacy on both folders and bookmarks on the page.  Browser tools (plugins and favlets) allow users to capture and add bookmarks, plus important tools allow for batch operations.

Each individual folder on a page can be made publically accessible via a short or long url.  The contents of the folder (bookmarks) can also be exposed as an RSS feed.

User can control the order of both folders and bookmarks.  Additional both folders and bookmarks can be cloned, deleted, edited or shared!

A simple drag and drop UI make things like ordering folders and bookmarks easy and intuitive.

Bookmarks can be added manually or automatically using a browser add-on or favlet.  The can also be imported from a list, a JSON or RSS feed. Individual bookmarks can also have notes and permissions associated with them.

The bookmark import feature supports bulk important from cut and paste lists, RSS feeds, JSON feeds and other external data sources.

Both pages and folders have convenient short URLs associated with them if public sharing is turned on.  Users can also quickly email links to others or access them via RSS.

As previously mentioned, the system supports any number of pages and folders.

Here are some examples of shared folders and pages on the system:
