We recently powered a unique voice campaign that allowed fans to call numbers in the US and UK (and in some other countries) to call an listen to a message from Dan Smith. What fans didn't realize was a small percent of fans actually got transferred directly to Dan's phone. As a result, Dan got to speak directly with dozens of fans about the bands new release. The response, as you would expect, was phenomenal! At Metablocks, we are huge proponents of this type of artist fan engagement! We feel that too few artist take the time to really connect with fans in the most meaning way - directly! True, you probably can't connect with ALL of your fans (See Granger Smith activation), but connecting with even a very small part of your fan population can create a positive ripple effect.
