Spotify has started a new practice that is potentially of great benefit to artists and labels.  As part of a new album launch, Spotify is able to send out an invitation to an artist top fans/streamers on the service with a link to exclusive content or a sweepstakes campaign.  Our Spotify sweepstakes applications are able to capture these user's information (including their names and email addresses) in order to build a VIP fan list.  You recently launch a promotion of this find for Fifth Harmony at: http://www.727globalhub.com/spotify Fans were direct to the site by an email send to top Fifth Harmony streamers by Spotify. The email promised exclusive content to these fans, plus an opportunity to enter for a chance to win great prizes. Fans who visited the page were able to view exclusive behind-the-scenes (BTS) video footage from the group, plus enter the sweepstakes.

Connect, Follow and Capture
Fans were encouraged and able to enter the sweepstakes by simply connecting on Spotify (most of them were already logged into the service or had previous authenticated through one of our Spotify applications).  Once they connected, they automatically followed Fifth Harmony and their currently promoted Spotify playlist. More importantly, the application was able to capture their information so we could identify as VIP fans, and allow our client Epic Records to potentially target them as part of future Fifth Harmony campaigns.

Continue to Encourage Streaming
Once fans connected via Spotify and had entered the sweepstakes, the application continued to encourage them to stream the new album.
