Metablocks Powers House of Blues 20th Anniversary Instagram Promotion

As I mentioned in weeks past, we have been powered a growing number of Instagram applications! We continue this powerful trend with a couple of Instagram applications this week, the most visible of which is the #HOB20 Memories campaign which is a "legally compliant" sweepstakes we are powering for client and partner House Of Blues (part of Live Nation).

This legally compliant Instagram sweepstakes engine is a response to issues many legal departments have in the way many marketing folks have tried to do Instagram sweepstakes in the past.  Having fans enter a contest or sweepstakes by simply using a #Hashtag does not necessarily meet federal or state legal guidelines. Additionally, you have no easy way or contact fans or worse, responding to an audit.

Our offering addresses all of these concerns. First, fans enter the sweepstakes through the application, which authenticates them using Instagram (to verify their identify and access their photos) and allows them to select a photo, provide their email, birthday (zip if necessary), and accept the rules in order to enter the sweepstakes (or contest). The engine also supports alternate forms of entry (some legal departments require this) and allows users to opt-in to one or more partners (can be networked in the same way the Tweematic engine can).

The entry page allows users to select a photo, enter their email, birthday and other optional information (zip, venue, i.e.) as well as agree to the rule and opt-in to get updates from the sponsor.
