This is the second music download application we have deployed for UMG Latin in the last couple of weeks! As background, we have designed, enabled and deployed a broad range of download applications in the past, some using our own engines, others powered by partners. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about the music download application we deployed on Facebook for UMGL and Sears Puerto Rico. This application (created for Dunkin' Donuts), has some similarities and some differences.
- Users have to like the page to download a free song (“Like-Gate”)
- Users can preview songs within the application before downloading them
- Uses can only download ONE SONG (there are various ways of enforcing this, UMGL choose an approach which we generally recommend that doesn't require users to permission the application)
- Users can also interact with other parts of the application such as the photo gallery
- The application supports comprehensive sharing as well as the ability for users to Like individual tracks (all of which point back to the application)
